What should I do before my appointment?

Come with CLEAN EYES! Please make sure there’s absolutely no makeup on your eyes!! Mascara unfortunately sticks around the base of your natural lashes. It’s so stubborn that even if it looks like you have clean lashes it is probably still wrapped around the bases or sticking a few lashes together. Use a makeup remover/cleanser before and repeat a few times. Lashes do not stick to dirty lashes! The best way to have your lashes last longer is to make sure they are squeaky clean before your appointments.

What products can I use when I have lash extensions?

Use only OIL-FREE Products! Make sure you aren’t using any skincare products that have oil (I suggest reading labels). In addition, stay away from waterproof products. Waterproof products require oil to remove. Oil free makeup removers and eyelash extension safe makeup are the only products recommended.

Can I get my lashes wet?

Be prepared to avoid getting your lashes wet for 24-48 hours after your lash appointments to give the adhesive (glue) time to cure and fully bond your lash extensions with your natural lashes. After that, you can get them wet…in fact, you need to wash your lashes every day with a lash cleanser and a fluffy eyeshadow brush.

how long will my appointment take?

Your first appointment will be a full set where an eyelash extension will be carefully applied to each of your natural lashes. The average person has 120 lashes on each eye so hundreds of lashes will be applied in a 2-3 hour time frame. This is when the creation of a masterpiece will happen! Each size and curl is customized for you the get a shape and look that compliments your features while maintaining healthy natural lashes.

Bring headphones to your appointment and turn your phone on silent. Do not rush the process so you can get the best results. Lash naps are encouraged! Wear comfy clothes let your music or meditation podcast let you doze off…Wake up feeling refreshed with amazing lashes!!

how often do I need to have my lashes filled?

Eyelash extensions aren’t permanent. Just like the hair on your head your lashes grow and shed every day. You will lose your lashes every day with your natural lash shedding and your lashes will grow out with your natural growth cycle.

At your lash fill appointments, grown-out lashes will be removed and replaced and added to new lashes in the proper cycle of growth. Plan on a fill every 2-3 weeks based on your lifestyle and your hair growth patterns.

Fill appointments are half of the time of a full set and are much quicker than your first appointment. Following proper aftercare instructions and getting regular fills will help keep your beautiful lash masterpiece looking fresh 24/7!

how often should I wash my lashes?

The simple answer is…EVERY DAY!

Washing your lashes daily will remove oil, dirt, makeup debris, etc, and help to keep the lash adhesive firmly bonded to your natural lash. Lash adhesive can’t stick to dirty lashes!

how do I wash my lashes?

The first step is to grab the fluffiest, softest eyeshadow brush you can find. Then pump the lash wash on your brush and gently work in the product at the lash root. Rinse and repeat if wearing makeup. Dab with a microfiber towel or dry with a lash fan and brush the lashes until they’re dry and fluffy. Keep an extra lash wand with you if you need to brush them throughout the day.

other aftercare tips

The best aftercare tips other than frequent lash cleansing is first do not sleep on your lashes!! Sleep like a princess and baby your lashes.

Secondly don’t rub your eyes and don’t mess with your lashes other than cleansing and brushing.

Wait 24-48 hours before steam or getting your lashes wet including excessive sweating. If you take hot showers have a door or window open.

Avoid any other products around your eyes other than your lash cleanser. Oils in products can break down the glue.

Lastly, stay happy and take care of yourself. Stress and crying are a couple of the worst culprits for bad retention. If you do have a good cry I recommend a lash bath after to wash away the salt and oils from the tears.
